    Hide & Seek

    Designed by Sthl

The design incorporated the daily interaction between the pet owners with their precious pets. The naughty kitty hid away after breaking the owner's glass. Seeing this adorable and "innocent" culprit, how could any warm-hearted owner get mad? Well... finally what could they do, is clean up the mess. Kitty and dogs were running around along with the aroma in the food basket, they cuddled together in a soft sweet dream. Daily utensils are added into the design, symbolizing the simple, but warm daily lives of pets and pet owners. Cat owners even have a cat-shaped teapot. The naughty yet adorable pets bring every owner warmth and joy.

    Cats' Eighteen Changes

Designed by Cheung Cheuk Lam, Janet

I was inspired to use a funny way to share my daily life with cats. I got my ideas through playing with my little kitten, watching videos, and seeing Instagram photos. For the phone case, although our master may change their mood and behavior all the time, we love them as usual since we are their keeper. They are still our sweet babies. For the case top and earbuds, I want to show different shapes that cats can be changed into, just like a liquid. I exaggerate them in simple lines and combine the letters “L” and “R” with the shapes of cats. For the charger, I used a black background with white cats to create positive and negative spaces and to show the shape of the cat’s round paw.

Not being a dog/cat owner myself, I have always envied a life with pets. The three dogs: Sugas, Dada and BaoBao (from bottom to top) are “masters” of my friend. It sparks a smile on my face every time I visit them. Sugas is always loud and passionate, Dada is always sleepy and friendly, and Baobao is the annoying (yet adorable) new kid. After knowing the theme of the competition, I immediately contacted my friend for photos and stories for inspiration.

For the phone case, my design is inspired by the “Town Musicians of Bremen” story where animals stack on top of each other based on their sizes. I put “myself” at the bottom and the dogs on top according to their size; The awkward smile shows the effort put into the masters. The barking, sleeping and exploring of the respective three dogs correlates to their personalities. I used cartoon and vector style to match the style of thecoopidea. The charger and earbuds follow the same theme of the three masters - lovable, cute and colourful.
